General Election
A General Election is the election in which federal and state officers, members of Congress and of the general assembly, county and township officers, and other officers appear on the ballot. General Elections are held the 1st Tuesday after the 1st Monday in November of each even-numbered year.
Important Dates
First day to submit requests for a mailed absentee ballot: August 25, 2026
Candidate Filing Deadline (Soil & Water, Ag Ext): August 26, 2026 @ 5:00 PM
First day of in-person absentee voting: October 14, 2026
Last day to request mailed ballot: October 19, 2026
Office open for voting on Saturday, October 31, 2026 from 8AM - 5PM
Last day to vote absentee in the Auditor’s Office = November 2, 2026
ELECTION DAY: November 3, 2026, polls are open from 7AM - 8PM
