Special Election
A Special Election is any election that is not regularly scheduled. A special election may be held for any purpose authorized or required by law; often to fill a vacancy or for a public measure.

Residents are able to absentee vote in our office now through July 8th during our normal hours 8am-4:30pm.

Notice is hereby given to the qualified electors of the City of BAXTER in the County of Jasper, State of Iowa, that a Special Election of said City will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024. All polls will be open from 7:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M.

Voters will be voting to fill the vacancy for 2 City Council members.
