General Election
A General Election is the election in which federal and state officers, members of Congress and of the general assembly, county and township officers, and other officers appear on the ballot. General Elections are held the 1st Tuesday after the 1st Monday in November of each even-numbered year.

August 27th: General Election - First day to accept absentee ballot requests, can mail in request or fill out in office

August 28th: General Election – Candidate filing deadline (Township clerks and trustees, soil and water conservation board, and ag extension office)

October 16th: General Election – Absentee voting begins in Auditor’s office 8AM-4:30PM

November 2nd: General Election – Auditor’s Office open for voting 8AM-5PM

November 5th: General Election Day – Polls open 7AM-8PM across all of Jasper County.
